RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
To confirm your charter and reserve your dates a deposit of 50% must be received within 14 days of your reservation. The balance of the charter fee is due 60 days prior to your charter.
Payments can be made with personal check, wire transfer or money order.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
If a charterer cancels, deposits and final payments are fully refundable only if the dates you have reserved are rebooked with another charter. Partial booking of those dates will result in a prorated refund. If not refunded, you may travel with us the same season on a cruise of similar value or length subject to space and operations. In the unlikely event that we cancel a cruise due to a mechanical breakdown, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid directly to us.
TRIP INSURANCE
Many travel advisors recommend trip insurance. Good trip insurance will cover cancellation due to your illness or that of a family member as well as cancellation due to inclement weather. It will even cover pre-existing medical conditions if purchased at the time you book your trip and you are capable of traveling at that time.
CHANGES OF SCHEDULE AND CREW
If the charterer needs to change a scheduled trip, we will make every effort to accommodate that change, subject to the limitation of other scheduled trips.
Ursa Major Yacht Charters reserves the right to make changes in our schedules for any reason up to 6 months before the charter; or at any time when necessary for the safety of the guests.
In the event of mechanical breakdown, Ursa Major Yacht Charters reserves the right to make a timely substitute to another boat of comparable or superior size and quality. We also reserve the right to change or substitute crew members.
GETTING TO ALASKA
Please note that our trips do not include airfare to and from Alaska or Mexico. For your trips to Alaska, Wherever you are coming from you will usually need to arrive in Seattle and then take a flight on Alaska Airlines to Juneau, Petersburg or Sitka except for some guests coming to Anchorage and linking through from there. Flights to La Paz and Loreto originate out of Los Angeles and Mexico City primarily. . Ground transport from airport at Los Cabo is a 3-5 hour shuttle or bus ride to La Paz or Loreto. We recommend you fly into Loreto or La Paz directly if possible although flights are much more easily found to Los Cabos due to flight reductions occurring in 2008. We will do our best to help you locate transport from your airport to the boat. To help you make your flight arrangements you can visit the Alaska Airlines web site by clicking HERE. Aero Mexico flights out of Tuscon and Los Angeles and Tijuana. From the East Coast flights through Mexico City are your best bet.
