Ursa Major is the research support vessel on the recently released National Geographic Show "Squid versus Whale" about tagging sperm whales in the Sea of Cortez on Nature Untamed, National Geographic Channel
Frommer's Co-author Heide Sarna says in AARP The Magazine May/June 2008 "On the big ships Alaska's landscape is the backdrop to the ship's diversions, not the main attraction," "The Smaller the Better, if you want a more up-close look."
Ursa is the perfect ship to go small and yet enjoy the luxury of your own private charter yacht.

Passagemaker Contributing Editor Bob Lane stares down his Grizzly |
Ursa Major hangs out in the yard with the TV star of The Deadliest Catch,.. Sig Hansen's the Northwestern Bering Sea King Crab fishing vessel and we both have TEN FOOT DRAFTS! How is THAT for stability on the Ursa! We don't do those winter storms they brave however. We watch the whales and enjoy gourmet food instead! But we are both REALLY seaworthy! |
