WELCOME ABOARD Ursa Major as she charters in the Sea of Cortez cruising out of La Paz and Loreto to bring her special style to a new region. Although Ursa carries the salty North Sea Trawler look of Northern waters, she is perfect for warm climates in the winter as she has extensive outside decks, opening solid sea hatches for ventilation, a load of kayaks for your exploration of sundrenched coastlines, deck sun shades, and air conditioning if needed. Ursa is an American Flagged Coast Guard approved vessel with an American Crew working with the local people to celebrate the magnificent Baja environment. Our fondness for and from the local people means you have an authentic experience in Baja.

Charter your own boat, plan and customize your own adventure vacation to your schedule. Cruises start in an overnight Sunday in hotel in your departure city to allow you to fly in. An early morning transport to the boat for Monday departure on six days of cruising with arrival back mid day Saturday to catch flights home or stay a day in your destination town before heading home. All arranged to fit into your one week winter vacation slot! Look closely at a vacation in November, it is an incredible time in Baja with warmer water and greener and sometimes blooming deserts from the fall rains. Visit in February and March and link this to a day trip to Magdalena Bay to visit the calving gray whales in shallow lagoons.

Tandem Charters are available with other vessels of Baja Charter Yachts Cooperative and in Cooperation with local outfitters - Ursa Major is optimal for six but available for up to eight guests or in tandem with other vessels for larger groups. We offer excellent sportfishing options with cooperation from local panga providers who will come to the boat and deliver you back after a day of successful fishing! Go with the locals who know where the fish are and help support their economy.
